Beyoncé's 'Morning Dew (Donk)' Starts a Birthday Countdown — But What About Act III?

Beyoncé just gave her BeyHive a reason to buzz. On July 4, the Grammy winner released a surprise single titled "Morning Dew (Donk)", marking her first new music drop in two years, according to a statement from her company, Parkwood Entertainment.

The soulful track kicks off a 60-day countdown. It leads to two milestones: Beyoncé's 45th birthday on September 4, and the reissue of her 2006 album B'DAY. The single is "a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B'DAY," the statement said.

B'DAY debuted worldwide on September —4, 2006, and hit U.S. stores a day later. Beyoncé co-wrote "Morning Dew (Donk)" with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon.

While this release is confirmed as a birthday and album anniversary celebration, fans have been laser-focused on the bigger mystery: the third and final act of her musical trilogy, following Renaissance and Cowboy Carter. Rumors have swirled for months.

A fan account on X claimed on April 27 that "The album is 100% complete, only vinyl pressings remain, expected to be finished before June 2026, showing a summer release," adding it would have "two big features." The post suggested the album would be influenced by old-school rock 'n' roll.

Beyoncé's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, swiftly shut that down. Commenting directly on the post, she wrote, "This is unequivocally false!!"

Still, the BeyHive remains hopeful. According to a message shared on her website in 2022, Beyoncé provided some context for the trilogy. She reportedly wrote, "This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic," and added, "A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative."

The singer has not revealed any official details about Act III. For now, the countdown is for B'DAY — but fans are watching for any sign the final act is coming.
