Why Robert Pattinson, Ryan Seacrest, and Charles Barkley Missed Taylor Swift's Wedding
The 'The Batman sequel sequel' star, the TV host, and the NBA legend all had their reasons for skipping the event of the year.

When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot, the guest list was a who's who of Hollywood and beyond. But not every A-lister made it to the altar. So, where were Robert Pattinson, Ryan Seacrest, and Charles Barkley?
Robert Pattinson was stuck on set. The actor's longtime partner, Suki Waterhouse, had signaled her intent to attend the wedding back in May, but Pattinson couldn't join her. "I was working," he told Entertainment Tonight on July 6. "I was shooting The Batman sequel sequel this morning. Very busy." He was required on the U.K.
Ryan Seacrest had a patriotic conflict. "I RSVPd to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special," he said. "And so, I had to cancel." He admitted on his July 6 radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, "I was kind of torn. I tried to do both. I tried to go to the wedding and to prepare for that show, but we started live on the 3rd."
Charles Barkley, however, had a more philosophical reason for declining. The NBA legend simply doesn't do weddings. "I don’t go to weddings or funerals, but I did get an invite, and I politely declined ‘cause I thought it was gonna be a crap show," Barkley said on the July 7 episode of Unfiltered with Ricky Bo Bill Colarulo.
The wedding itself, reportedly held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, was reportedly spectacular.
For Pattinson, it was a work commitment he couldn't escape. For Seacrest, a national celebration edged out a personal one. And for Barkley, it was just a matter of principle. Their absences show that even for the wedding of the year, some stars just can't—or won't—make it.
