Where Were Taylor Swift's Godchildren During Her Wedding Celebrations?

Taylor Swift’s recent wedding celebrations with Travis Kelce were a star-studded affair at Madison Square Garden. But according to a new report, five special guests were notably absent.

Page Six reports that Swift’s five godchildren were missing from the July 2-3 events. This includes Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ four children—James, 11; Inez, 9; Betty, 6; and Olin, 3—as well as Jaime King’s 10-year-old son, Leo Newman.

A source told Page Six, "She just had Jason Kelce’s [daughters] as flower girls," referring to the groom’s nieces. The report also notes that Lively and Reynolds spent the day of Swift’s rehearsal dinner at daughter Betty’s horse show in Lake Placid.

The absence of King’s son, Leo, is linked to reported strains in that friendship.

A music insider offered context on the Swift-King bond, saying, "Taylor gets really close to the people in front of her fast. She and Jaime just happened to be friends when Jaime was pregnant, and that’s why Jaime asked [Swift to be godmother] — but they didn’t have a super long history together." The insider added that Taylor and Jaime haven’t been spotted together in years.

King asked Swift to be Leo’s godmother in 2015, a year after attending Swift’s Fourth of July party in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Swift’s connection to Lively and Reynolds’ children is famously woven into her music; their daughters' names were used in songs, including “Betty” from her 2020 album, “Folklore.”

Reps for King, Swift, and Lively did not respond to requests for comment from Page Six. Intimate details of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s nuptials are still under wraps.
