Sam Rockwell to Star in Arthur Miller's 'A View From the Bridge' Off-Broadway
The Oscar winner will lead a 13-week revival directed by Neil Pepe at La MaMa this fall, with Marin Ireland and Alfred Molina co-starring.

Sam Rockwell will star in a new Off-Broadway production of Arthur Miller's classic play A View from the Bridge this fall, according to Deadline. The Oscar-winning actor will lead a 13-week engagement at the Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa.
Rockwell will play Eddie Carbone, the Brooklyn longshoreman at the center of Miller's searing family tragedy. The production is directed by Neil Pepe, who previously directed Rockwell in the 2022 Broadway revival of American Buffalo.
Who else is in the cast?
Marin Ireland, a Tony Award nominee, will play Beatrice, Eddie's wife. Tony, Olivier, and Emmy nominee Alfred Molina will take on the role of Alfieri, the lawyer who narrates the story. The play follows Eddie's life as it unravels after his wife's cousins arrive from Italy, and his niece Catherine falls for the younger immigrant, Rodolpho.
When are the performances?
Previews for the limited run begin on November 27, 2026. Opening night is scheduled for Sunday, December 13. Tickets for the full engagement are currently on sale.
Rockwell is also producing the play alongside Mark Berger. In a statement, the actor connected the project to his personal history with the downtown theater institution. “Some of my earliest theater memories are of coming to La MaMa as a kid and hanging out backstage while my mom was doing experimental theater of the day,” Rockwell said. “To now return to the Ellen Stewart Theatre with Arthur Miller’s masterpiece with these remarkable collaborators feels like coming full circle.”
The creative team includes scenic design by three-time Tony Award winner Scott Pask, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by John Torres, and sound design by two-time Tony nominee Palmer Hefferan.
