Corbin Mims Explains Why He Called Out Sincere on Love Island USA

What makes a bombshell finally drop the truth bomb? For Love Island USA's Corbin Mims, it took a big-screen betrayal and a fresh perspective from his partner.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, the 22-year-old from Miami, Florida, explained his decision to confront fellow Islander Sincere Rhea about his behavior toward Melanie Moreno. The moment came during the couples' compatibility vote in episode 27, after the cast saw private chats aired at Movie Night.

"When I was making that decision to finally be 100 percent with Melanie and Sincere, I knew it was going to be the hardest thing to do," Corbin said. "At first I didn't want to talk, I'm not gonna lie."

But watching Sincere's interactions with Melanie, Sol Dean, and Amora Robinson changed his mind. Corbin felt compelled to speak honestly after seeing how Sincere had downplayed his flirty behavior. "What I seen at Movie Night, that s--t was f--ked up too, because we the bros, bro. You can't lie to the bros, bro," he said, referring to his close alliance with Sincere and KC Chandler. "We got your back, so that s--t hurt me too."

The final push, however, came from his partner Parmida Keshani, who entered the villa midseason during Casa Amor. Corbin explained his initial hesitation: "This is my bro, I don't want to feel like I'm betraying him." He added, "What changed my mind was Parmida. She had a different stance on their whole relationship."

Corbin said Parmida's perspective was unbiased, free of "baggage coming into the decision." He listened. "So I set my friendship aside and said, ‘OK, let me listen to Parmida speak the pros and cons.' And she is actually 100 percent right," he continued. "Now, when I look at it on the outside of the glass, I was like, 'Oh s--t, this is true.'"

"I think he needed that moment to really see the effect of how it affected me," Mims added, "how it affects his couple and everybody in that Villa."

Corbin and Parmida were later dumped from the villa on the July 5 episode after being voted one of the least compatible couples. In a separate interview with Just Jared, Corbin also reacted to the viral social media joke dubbing him "CorbinGPT" for his calm, AI-like demeanor on the show.
