The announcement came just four days after the 90s rock icon publicly revealed she was fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Finch had been due to join her bandmates on L7’s “The Last Hurrah” farewell tour later this year. However, after her diagnosis, she suffered what her loved ones described as “serious complications” and a “relentless series of setbacks.”

In a poignant turn, Finch asked the band to continue with the tour plans despite her illness. "Although she will not be able to join us for the upcoming US dates, Jennifer has asked us to continue with the tour as planned. “We will honor her request while making her care and well-being our immediate priority." The band’s statement, also reported by Page Six, confirmed they would honor her request while making her care their priority.

Photos shared by her loved ones in recent days showed Finch in good spirits in her hospital bed, showing off her surgery scars.
