The two actors publicly supported their former "Jane the Virgin" costar Justin Baldoni and his wife Emily Baldoni on Instagram this week, following the couple's statement about settling his legal dispute with Blake Lively. According to E! News, Rodriguez commented on the Baldonis' July 8 Instagram post with a heart emoji and the words, "Love you friends. Por vida. [For life.]" Dier was equally affectionate, adding his own heart emojis and writing, "I love you guys."

The show of support comes two months after Baldoni reached a settlement deal with Lively, who had initially sued him, alleging a hostile work environment on the set of the film "It Ends With Us." In their Instagram video, the Baldonis expressed gratitude to those who stood by them. "So many of you had discernment, and you used your intuition, and you trusted that, and you have given your time to fight for us," Justin said in the video, as reported by E! News. He added, "Thank you does not feel like enough, but we're here in large part because of so many of you and all of our friends and family."

The bond between Rodriguez, Dier, and Baldoni was forged on the set of the CW series "Jane the Virgin," where they costarred from 2014 to 2019. Their friendship has remained strong in the years since. Rodriguez told Us Weekly in 2024, "Justin is also one of my closest friends, and we talk all the time." Baldoni even serenaded Rodriguez as she walked down the aisle at her 2019 wedding to Joe LoCicero.
