What does life look like 15 years after the grand jeté onto reality TV? For Chloe Lukasiak, it’s a New York City dream, a successful YouTube channel, and a new perspective on the show that made her famous.

In an interview with E! News, the Dance Moms alum reflected on her five seasons under Abby Lee Miller's tutelage. "I was pretty naive," Lukasiak, now 25, acknowledged. She shared that she didn't fully grasp why she was constantly pitted against star pupil Maddie Ziegler. "I was always just trying to prove myself to my dance teacher. I was always like, 'Why don't you like me? I don't get it. I'm doing my best. Why do you not want me to win so badly?'"

It took adulthood to reframe that experience. "It wasn't until I was an adult that I was like, Oh, that was out of my control," she continued. "I could have done the absolute best job in the world and it still wouldn't have been enough. So there's nothing I can do about that. That's more so about other people than it is about me."

Now, the Pittsburgh native rarely has to save tears for her pillow. She's pirouetted her fame from the Lifetime show into a collection of brand partnerships and a life she loves. According to E! News, she said, "I'm honestly just really grateful," of her reality TV past. "Like, I can't stop expressing my gratitude. Because every moment that I experienced on the show shaped who I am today. And I'm really proud of who I am today. And that wouldn't have happened without that particular competition that was kind of manufactured between us and the intense negativity and the positivity in all of it."

Her personal life also seems to be on a positive track. In May, she sparked romance rumors with a soft-launch Instagram carousel featuring an unidentified suitor. Fellow alum Paige Hyland commented "Soft launch???" on the post, to which Lukasiak responded with a series of eye emojis, further fueling speculation.

While Abby Lee Miller has claimed the cast "Can't Face" her amid reunion drama, Lukasiak's focus is firmly on the future she built from a complicated past. She's living proof that the best revenge is a life well-lived, far from the manufactured drama of the competition floor.
