Ella Bright Says Friendship With Belmont Cameli Was 'So Easy From the Get-Go'

While some fans have been dissecting a TikTok clip for signs of tension, Ella Bright paints a picture of instant friendship and professional ease with her 'Off Campus' co-star Belmont Cameli.

The speculation began after a TikTok video from Amazon Prime Video's Obsessed Fest on June 27 appeared to show Cameli avoiding physical contact with his female castmates, Bright and Mika Abdalla. Separate reports also claimed he left the event two hours earlier. Some fans criticized the actor based on the footage, while others defended him, arguing the clip lacked context.

In the midst of the online chatter, Bright has offered her own perspective. "It was so easy from the get-go. We're such good friends, we have honestly the best time together, just so much laughter and fun," she shared. "That's what that connection and trust builds: such a safe space for us to be really emotionally vulnerable with each other, and that was what was really special about our relationship."

Fast Friends From the Start

She recalled meeting Cameli at their chemistry read for the Prime Video series. "[We] met at the chemistry reads, we got each other's numbers and we've just been friends ever since," she disclosed.

Bright called Cameli 'the best' and emphasized how their long days on set solidified their bond. 'I mean, when you spend that much time with someone on set — we'd have like 15, 16-hour days — you have to be just the best of friends. I really look up to him a lot,' she said.

Her remarks serve as a direct counterpoint to the fan theories, highlighting the genuine camaraderie she says defines their relationship behind the scenes.
