According to TMZ, the officer explained to his partner "that Darrell starred on 'Storage Wars' with his son" and even knew the truck they used on the show. His colleague reacted with a shocked "Oh!" when he filled them in.

TMZ reports paramedics could not immediately pronounce the 67-year-old dead because he was still holding the revolver used, his finger on the trigger, with concerns that rigor mortis might cause him to pull it again. The medical examiner later ruled the death a suicide.

This footage emerges alongside new police reports, also obtained by TMZ, that detail Sheets' final months. The reports, cited by outlets including Taste of Country, indicate Sheets was under "tremendous stress," battling insomnia, and facing family tension. He had reportedly argued with his son shortly before his death, and a note found in a closet mentioned he "could not take anymore the Facebook bullying."

Sheets' girlfriend, who is not named in the documents, told police he had never mentioned plans to harm himself and that their relationship was in a good place, despite the stress he was under.
