William Jackson Harper has joined the main cast of Hulu’s upcoming series Conviction as a series regular, according to Deadline.
He will star in the legal drama alongside Elisabeth Moss, who also executive produces the project.

Harper joins a previously announced cast that includes Jimmi Simpson, Kevin McKidd, Sebastian De Souza, Adam Godley, Linda Emond, and Ella Anderson. The series is written and executive produced by David Shore, the creator of House and The Good Doctor.
What is 'Conviction' about?
The show follows criminal defense attorney Neve Harper, played by Moss. Her character finally gets a career-making case defending a husband accused of murdering his wife by setting their home on fire. However, Neve is forced to compromise her legal, moral, and ethical obligations after a mysterious stranger begins blackmailing her, threatening to expose her dark secrets if she doesn't secure an acquittal.
Conviction is based on the 2023 book of the same name by Jack Jordan, who is executive producing alongside Shore and Erin Gunn. Moss and Lindsey McManus executive produce via Love & Squalor Pictures. Warren Littlefield, Ann Johnson, Lisa Harrison, and Bert Salke also serve as executive producers.
Harper is coming off the fourth season of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show and a role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He will next be seen starring opposite Jon Hamm in the MGM+ series American Hostage and has recently completed production on the FX limited series Cry Wolf and the indie film The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd.
