You guys know this series, correct? I don’t feel like I need to pitch it, but we’re so excited about it because we just need more of those small town shows.

The first book in the series is set in Rome, Kentucky. It centers on Amelia Rose, a burnt-out pop star known as Rae Rose to her fans. She drives off in the middle of the night for a spontaneous vacation, inspired by her favorite Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday. Her car breaks down, stranding her on the front lawn of Noah Walker.

"You guys know this series, correct?" cofounder Laura Lewis asked the audience during the panel. "I don’t feel like I need to pitch it, but we’re so excited about it because we just need more of those small town shows. Also it’s just got such a great cast of characters we can’t wait to bring to life."

What else is Rebelle Media working on?

Other projects in development include adaptations of Christina Lauren’s The Paradise Problem and Rebecca Armitage’s The Heir Apparent, as well as a television adaptation of Jo Piazza’s The Sicilian Inheritance with MGM Television.
