Netflix has released a sneak peek of the first few minutes of Ransom Canyon Season 2, which premieres on July 23. The preview reveals that Quinn O'Grady has returned to the small Texas town after six months away.

The preview, shared exclusively on Netflix's Tudum site, shows Quinn (Minka Kelly) back in Ransom after working as a concert pianist for the New York Philharmonic. She is seen looking out from her porch with her dog, remarking, "Guess we’re not in New York anymore, Biscuit." Kelly told Tudum she loves that her character "gave up this fun, flashy, exciting life in New York for her small town, where it’s safe and comfortable and she knows everybody."
Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel), meanwhile, has been preoccupied with his father Sam's return to the Double K ranch. Sam ousted Staten from his trustee seat in the Season 1 finale, and his comeback "really throws a wrench into our relationship," Duhamel said. The rancher has also been masking his feelings for Quinn with other relationships, a fact pointed out by a ranch hand.
