Jamie Campbell Bower Joins ‘The Rings of Power’ Season 3 as Celeborn

Jamie Campbell Bower has been cast as Celeborn in the upcoming third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, according to TV Insider. He will be a series regular in the new season, which is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.

Prime Video also confirmed that Eddie Marsan has joined the cast in a recurring role. The streamer announced the premiere date and new casting details during its upfront presentation in May 2026.

What happens in Season 3?

The new season will jump forward several years from the events of Season 2. According to a description from Prime Video, Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring. Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have previously stated they have a five-season plan for the series.

"We have a five-year plan that we’ve had all along that’s not changing," Payne told TV Insider in April 2023.

Who else is in the cast?

Alongside Bower and Marsan, new cast members for Season 3 include Andrew Richardson as a series regular, with Zubin Varla and Adam Young in recurring roles. They join returning stars Morfydd Clark as Galadriel and Charlie Vickers as Sauron. Directors Charlotte Brändström and Sanaa Hamri will return, with Stefan Schwartz joining as a new director.

Filming for the third season began in June 2025, following the series' renewal in February 2025.
