Rose Byrne Reunites with Mary Bronstein for 'Nasty,' Starring Jenna Ortega

Rose Byrne and Jenna Ortega will star in the new film "Nasty," according to a report from IndieWire. The project reunites Byrne with director Mary Bronstein, who previously directed her in "If I Had Legs I’d Kick You."

The studio announced the project on Thursday, July 16, alongside a poster teaser image. The film is based on a script by Isabella Jarosz that landed on the 2024 Black List. It follows a young woman battling for a spot on the Olympic gymnastics team who must overcome her biggest opponent: her coach.

Margot Robbie's LuckyChap banner is producing the film, as is Jenna Ortega. Production on "Nasty" intends to begin this fall. Bronstein is repped by CAA, attorney David Krintzman, and 42West.
