A Live-Action Voyage Off to a Rocky Start

Catherine Lagaʻaia makes her live-action debut as the titular heroine in Disney's latest big-screen remake, 'Moana,' alongside Dwayne Johnson returning to voice the charismatic demigod Maui. The film, directed by Thomas Kail, is a 115-minute family fantasy adventure that retells the story of a teenage girl who answers the Ocean's call. Moana voyages beyond the reef of her island, Motunui, with the infamous Maui on a quest to restore prosperity to her people.

An Ensemble Cast of Island Legends
