Among the highlighted titles is "Galapagos: The Last Eden," a work directed by Anthony Geffen and voiced by Margot Robbie. Andy Serkis co-directs "Nevatars," which also features the voices of Daisy Ridley and Kathleen Turner.
Other notable projects include "Artou," directed by Abderrahmane Sissako and voiced by French actor and producer Omar Sy. The lineup also features "Bowie: Unseen Unheard," an immersive audio-visual work created from rare photos of David Bowie.
When and where is the festival?
The Venice Immersive program takes place on the island of Lazzaretto Vecchio, a short boat ride from the main Lido venue. The Venice Film Festival itself runs from September 2 to September 12.
Paul Raphaël, co-founder of Felix & Paul Studios, will serve as president of the Venice Immersive jury. He will be joined by Iranian filmmaker Négar Motevalymeidanshah and Belgian director and writer Kate Voet. The jury will award the Venice Immersive Grand Prize, Special Jury Prize, and Achievement Prize.
