Elle Fanning and Julianne Moore are set to star in a new film from writer-director Rebecca Miller about children’s author Margaret Wise Brown, according to Deadline. The project, titled Moonsong: A Life In Seven Verses, will be Miller’s ninth feature film as a director.
Miller will also pen the script for the biopic, which is based on the book Margaret Wise Brown: Awakened by the Moon by Leonard S. Marcus. Brown is celebrated for classic children's books including Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Her work, which earned her the title “the laureate of the nursery,” continues to be read worldwide decades after its release.

The project was brought to Miller and her producing partner Damon Cardasis, at Round Films, by producers Amanda Goodwin, Keri Selig and Sasha Alexander.
